British bespoke jewellery designer Amanda Mansell graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery in 1997. Whilst, in her early years, she was celebrated for designing catwalk jewellery for the likes of Julien MacDonald, Lesley George and David Fielden, Amanda has recently focused on building her own distinctive contemporary jewellery design and manufacturing business.
Working in Hatton Garden, London, Amanda has concentrated on designing new ranges, expanding on her own contemporary collections. Her trade skills and connections, combined with her RCA creative and conceptual background, have fused to create unique and inspiring designs that are sophisticated, yet simple.
Amanda is passionate about both creativity and quality and is a keen supporter of British design. That’s why she is an executive member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery and also a member of London Jewellery First, a group formed in May 2006, as part of Camden Councils Jewellery Sector Investment plan to revive the UK jewellery industry.
In May 2005 Amanda opened DualPod, a jewellery gallery in The Mall Antiques Arcade, Islington, with Master Craftsman Theo Ioannou. DualPod is fast becoming one of most respected contemporary jewellers in London and showcases the work of some of the finest designers working in the UK. |
